It’s an honour to be asked to be the best man, but it does leave you with a number of responsibilities. Before you get to organising suits for the ushers or writing a speech, you need to think about the stag do.

If you’re like most people, organising a stag do is a once-in-a-lifetime task – so it’s probably the case that you won’t have much experience in doing it. This is undoubtedly one of the most fun and interesting parts of being a best man, but if you start to feel the pressure on your shoulders to organise an amazing stag do, here are some amazing stag ideas provided by Mike James – who works with experience day specialist Into the Blue – and how to pull them off.

A Piss Up in a Brewery!

The UK has some amazing breweries creating delicious beer – can you think of a better destination for your stag do? London’s artisan microbrewery Wild Card offers tours of their facilities. You can expect a couple of pints of their signature beers as well as a tutored tasting session. Or if the groom is a fan of ales, why not take him to the oldest brewery in the country? Shepherd Neame in Kent is over 850 years old and to this it still creates famous names like Spitfire and Bishop’s Finger.

If alcohol is on the cards for the night, a brewery can be a great place to start. How about beginning the day at the brewery and then planning a pub crawl through the evening?

Stunt Driving

Does the groom think he’s a pretty decent driver? Put him through his paces and have a fantastic time with a stunt driving school. Experienced professional stunt drivers will teach you how to perform the moves safely, then you’ll attempt to pull off these insane tricks. Learn how to execute screeching handbrake turns, skids and J turns. This a great way to get the adrenaline pumping and start off your stag do the right way.

Shoot ‘Em Up

Shooting is a great way to spend part of your stag do – and there are so many options to choose from. If you want to experience the true power of a shotgun, try clay pigeon shooting. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or an experienced marksmen, clay pigeon shooting is always a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Alternatively, if you’re feeling competitive how about a day of paintballing? With a range of different adventure scenarios you’ll have to work together to achieve your goals. And by the way, we really couldn’t condone firing all of your spare paintballs at the groom near the end of the session – we really couldn’t condone that.

Zombies!

Ever wondered how you would cope with a zombie apocalypse? Play out that scenario as a part of an amazing stag do. Armed with an airsoft rifle you’ll be thrown into a realistic theatrical zombie experience as you attempt to stay safe.

Skydiving

Skydiving might be the ultimate adrenaline rush – there’s nothing that can quite match jumping out of a plane with only a parachute strapped to your back. If you’re not feeling up to the real thing or you’ve got people on the stag who are a bit iffy with heights, then how about trying indoor skydiving? It simulates the incredible feeling of freefall without any of the training or the hassle of getting in a plane and flying up to 10,000 feet!

Keep on Truckin’

Another one for petrol heads – how about driving in a truck that has tyres as tall as you are? Get the stag off to a great start with a monster truck experience and the largest car that you’ll probably ever drive. The highlight of the day is driving over and crushing two parked cars.

Bubble Football

Footie fans? Try something a little different with bubble football. It’s basically exactly the same as regular football except that every player is covered from head to knee with an inflatable bubble. This can impede your progress somewhat, and force you to play a different sort of game. Even if football isn’t really your thing, you’ll have an amazing time getting knocked around.
