Further to AW 2011 wardrobe possibilities, here’s what could only be described as a genius collaboration between British brand and self-professed opponent of “shabby arrogance and gaudy mediocrity”, YMC (You Must Create) and leather outfitters since 1892, Lewis Leathers.

Inspired by Lewis Leathers’ storied history and identifying with their stalwart refusal to bow to the trend-led deviations of fashion, YMC proposed a collaboration with the leathers brand with the outcome, I’d reckon, exceeding all expectations.
^ The Lightning jackets – though not featured here, there’s a delish style in navy that’s been begging for my month’s rent.
^ Black Arrow – featuring twin zippered breast pockets and two more deep, angled pockets below the waistline, detachable belt, adjustable snap fastener cuffs and warm red quilted lining.
Consisting of re-interpretations of two classic Lewis Leathers designs: the punk-infused Lightning jacket, and the more workwear-esque Black Arrow jacket, the range recognises its roots and is crafted accordingly from British Millerain waxed cotton.
If you happen to have half a grand stashed away, you know where to send it…
