Having just purchased denim shininess (waxed jeans from Zara…bargain, by the by…only €35) I’m in the mood for all things squint-making. Appropriate, then, that the latest installment from Dr. Martens for Raf Simons has just landed with a giant light-throwing stomp.
The collection encompasses both a classic leathers range and the aforementioned range of metallic shininess (inspired by the work of minimalist artist Carl Andre). While the boots don’t fit the description I mentioned in the hankering-after-boots post a few days back, they’ll more than do if anyone’s prepared to shell out for a cash-short blogger…

blimey, these ARE shiny. i think i prefer last seasons but the copper ones are sure different.
i left a comment on my blog but thought it better under your piece about the shoes…i think they are going to be stupidly priced, i really do. im estimating about £200-300.
I'm not digging those tags on the back.
Mat: The pewter numbers are enticing me. Still, the whole Doc Martens signature rubber-sole (more like an underbelly…) I'm not too hot on…LSoD: Most likely, they will be. Still, for the Doc Martens quality and the Raf Simons aesthetic I think a fan of either of the aforementioned wouldn't be deterred.Nutrient Agar: Yeah…not a fan of them either. I suppose they've got to include the trademark details./Male-Mode.com
