Love for Junk de Luxe

I had one of those rather infrequent [for me] label-love days yesterday. While doing some pre-lunch browsing in TK Maxx I happened upon this particularly swoon-worthy blazer from Junk de Luxe. I had seen pieces from the AW collection earlier in the day at a more expensive and much less favourable – in my opinion – store – BT2, but I hadn’t noticed this deep, deliciously grey beauty.

I’d seen the Junk de Luxe a handful of times on various shopping excursions, however I’d never pay much attention due to my horribly ignorant, entirely bizarre, subconscious association of the brand name with Juicy Couture. The two, as I’m sure you all know, could not be further apart in aesthetic.

The site offers more slickly styled Scandinavian pieces – each and every one undeniably covetable. Oh, and it was just 59.99 euro.

Oh as a matter of fact I just ordered $200 worth of Junk de Luxe off of ASOSMAN.com yesterday! It’s my favourite brand and they’re just amazing, and one of the reasons I love Scandinavian designs. I can’t believe you found that for only 60 Euro that is UNBELIEVABLE. Looks great on you.

I have a similar strange aversion to the label, but what I’ve seen tends to be solid. Although it can get a little Hot Topic at times.

Great jacket! It looks fabulous- clean-line-classic! Here’s the new trend with Junk de Luxe…the 4 Collections released each year for Men…are being devoured…by young Women, too!As you know, in Fashion, everything is opposite. Junk de Luxe is still all the rage in Europe and Scandinavia, even after all these years. It’s a tribute to clean lines and a new take on the “old” classics we already know and love. (great blog!)

I subconsciously always thought junk de luxe was some juicy couture type of thing too. Whoops? Why such a tacky name though?! Not our fault.
