Tom Ford’s feature to be found in the November issue of Out Magazine left me disappointed and decidedly irritated. Ford is, of course, a more than capable and without a doubt resourceful designer, we’re all aware of the many wonders he’s worked from Gucci(I heard at one point the house didn’t even possess a photocopier…) to YSL Rive Gauche but I’m sure we’re also all quite aware of Ford’s penchant for the sensual and sexual, provocation and allure which has, I think, grown so terribly weary of late.
That’s why when I saw these images I just sighed with indifference…

Tediously amateurish photography(Terry Richardson’s to blame) and an incomprehensingly boring concept. It’s time for Tom to move on.

Wow Oh my gosh this is really – actually – beyond sad! Did you see Marc Jacobs at the LV show? He looked exactly, and I mean ‘to a T’ – like Tom Ford in his Gucci era. If MJ sees these pics, he’ll probably go back to his good old grunge days, long hair etc.

I did indeed see them. I must admit Tom does a much more convincing rendition though! Despite however old it is…
