Mysteriously, I am somehow attracted to carboot kidnap scenes. Therefore, one of my favourite film moments derives from the movie Jackie Brown (Quentin Tarantino, 1997). Here, you follow a car and suddenly gain a look into its back load in a trashy x-ray special effect manner. The body appears strangely folded and it always fascinated me how to fit the square space. Quentin Tarantino probably first evoked this feeling inside of me – and has used its aesthetic core principle over and over again in his movies.
