Scouring London for some form of employment has me yearning for my old haunt, Circus Store, the closing of which led to the disappearance of first-hand access to Swedish menswear mastermind, Carin Wester.
Although most of the stock in my size had been snapped up by savvy Dubliners before I could scrounge together sufficient wages to make a purchase, it was nice to know I could add a smart blazer or well-cut trousers to my wardrobe if I woke up some morning with several extra layers in my wallet. The SS10 collection, which is now available online, has set the hankering once again in motion with its abundance of simple but far from nondescript tees and lightweight knits in shades from faint pastels to the monochrome hues the designer is renowned for.
Add to these, several pairs of cuffed shorts, leggings (in blackest of black to ensure you’re looking more Givenchy than unabashed sissy) and some outerwear pieces of distinction and of a slight sci-fi leaning. Here’s hoping the SEK to GBP exchange rate is favourable.
